3 Ways to Make your writing clearer

Check this article. 3 Keys are:

  • Cut the “since the dawn of time” opening and get right to the point.
  • Turn those descriptive topic sentences into topic sentences that make claims.
  • Make sure people are doing things in your sentences, unless you don’t want them to be doing things.
  • Check Catalyst:

Catalyst is an academic journal specifically designed for exceptional undergraduate researchers in the natural sciences. Our mission is to allow students with outstanding work done at UGA to learn the process behind peer-reviewed scientific publication, serving as a springboard for submitting work to future journals, all while showing off the talent of the best UGA undergraduate researchers.

The Catalyst team will provide a stipend each semester for the best project submissions to cover the expenses needed to attend a larger research conference. The selected student(s) will present their work and participate in lectures, poster sessions, networking, etc. This way, we are able to promote the university's best research on a global scale.
