Project Account and E-mail Address

UGA Departmental MyID was created for the project and it has to be renewed annually.

UserID = STEMin3D
PassWD = STEMisK0oL

STEMin3D.uga.edu domain was created by “UGA Domain Request”, and the created 'A' domain name, STEMin3D.uga.edu, was registered to redirect to STEMin3D.net (see below).

Then, at the GoDaddy cPanel's “Domains” admin section, I clicked “Create A New Domain” button as shown below.

With this setup, now traffics to http://STEMin3D.uga.edu are automatically redirected to https://STEMin3D.net. HTTPS traffics trigger a warning and an SSL needs to be set up for this new domain (TBD).

Gmail and YouTube accounts. Gmail account is the master account that is used in many associated accounts such as GitHub, GoDaddy, etc. Secure the login information!

Following the suggestion from the UGA IT support, Gmail account password was changed into a more challenging one below.

Password: STEMin3D.net ==> 5tEm=k0oL

STEMin3D GitHub has been changed into an Organization and the owner is set to songinseok. Then, the 2-step verification has been activated. Its admin recovery keys, in case the device (i.e., phone) is lost, are provided below.

I described the needs of the project: domain name [stemin3d.uga.edu], GitHub enterprise setup, and project MyID.

Anne provided two URL links, and suggested to follow these steps.

1. Change current password to more randomly created ~15 characters. Current one is too easy to guess.
2. Convert current STEMin3D.net@gmail.com GitHub account to an GitHub Organization using the instruction from one of the URL links.
3. Change the owner of the GitHub Organization to a certain account (e.g., STEMin3D.net@gmail.com or eventually stemin3d@uga.edu)
4. Ask/inform everyone to use the 2-step authentication for the GitHub (use Duo)
5. At this point, send an email to Anne and tell her that we are ready to change the Organization into an Enterprise
6. Setup GitHub webpage
7. Request project MyID

We will have a follow-up meeting during the week of the 29th with the UGA Web team to discuss about the best way to admin web traffics to STEMin3D.net and STEMin3D.uga.edu
